Trainer John O'Shea is holding no grudges against Racing To Win's regular jockey Hugh Bowman after he switched camps to ride the Jack Denham-trained Metal Bender in the Group Two Warwick Stakes at Randwick.

But O'Shea did have a warning for Sydney's premier jockey whose rides on Saturday include Nediym's Dream for him in the Toy Show Quality Handicap (1400m).

"I'll always want Hugh Bowman to do well but he needs to know the other camp he is riding for isn't as flexible as I am," O'Shea said.

O'Shea is thrilled with the injury-plagued five-time Group One winner Racing To Win who is nominated for the Cox Plate and won last year's Warwick Stakes (1400m).

"This is the first time in a long time that he hasn't had any setbacks in a preparation," O'Shea said.

"He did very well recently in a fast-run trial and I was so happy with his action and the way he pulled up from that run.

"He's a got a big campaign ahead of him, there's a long way to go but he's going nicely ahead of Saturday."

Bowman said he wished Racing To Win all the best but was looking forward to reuniting with the Rosehill and Randwick Guineas winner Metal Bender who he rode when he dead-heated for second in the Group One Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) in April.

"He's a very exciting horse and he's got a great chance Saturday," Bowman said.

Corey Brown, who rode Metal Bender in a barrier trial recently, has joined forces with Racing To Win.

"He's been a grand old campaigner and I was very happy to get the call-up," Brown said.

"Hopefully there's a good speed on and we can see him sitting somewhere near it and then showing that great turn of foot that has made him such a popular and successful horse.

"Let's hope he brings his A-game because he will have to."

Glen Boss rode Racing To Win in four of his five Group One wins while Bowman was aboard for his last top-flight victory in last year's All-Aged Stakes.

Racing To Win has not raced since charging home with Bowman aboard to finish a nose second to Scenic Shot in the Group One Doomben Cup (2020m) in May.
