The Anthony Cummings-trained Bellissimo will be floated to Melbourne for the Sandown Guineas after ploughing through the heavy conditions to win at Randwick on Saturday.

Bellissimo's four-length victory in the AJC-National Event Caterer 2010 Handicap (1600m) was enough to book him a trip south for the Group Two three-year-old feature over 1600m at Sandown next Saturday.

"I just got off the phone to Dad (Anthony Cummings) and I think we'll be sending him down to Sandown for the Guineas after that," stable foreman Edward Cummings said.

"When you win like that, you've got to kick goals when you can.

"We'll probably float him down over the weekend as we'd like to get him settled down there before the Guineas."

The son of Reset worked forward early in the race with apprentice Jake Noonan intent on getting the gelding to the lead on the fence.

He was full of running turning for home and ploughed through the going in the straight to defeat debutant Ranchero with Mirjulisa Lass 1-1/4-lengths away third.

"He's a bit of a tricky horse because he's still immature and does a lot of things wrong," Noonan said.

"I wanted to find the front and even though they were going quick I was happy to let him roll and when he got to the fence he dictated.

"Even in the straight he was still green so the more racing he has, the better he will get."

The Randwick meeting was Victorian-based Noonan's second appearance in Sydney after riding at Rosehill on October 23 and he has booted home a winner at both meetings.

Darley trainer Peter Snowden and jockey Josh Parr combined to bring up a winning double when in-form Parthian held off stablemate Khas Kura in a "ding-dong" battle up the straight in the AJC Corporate Membership Handicap (1400m).

The weather decimated the fields in the final two races with Parthian ($1.50 fav) facing just three rivals after four of the eight acceptors were scratched.

Eight horses were withdrawn from the Clovelly Handicap (1200m) leaving just three runners to do battle in the final race of the day.

Parthian, scoring his third straight win this preparation, led the small field with Khas Kura sitting on his outside before applying the pressure in the straight.

The pair drew away to forge a two-horse battle to the line and Parthian edged out his stablemate by a long head with 5-1/4 lengths to Theophorus in third.

"Khas Kura put in a good fight today but to Parthian's credit he's tough and loves a fight, and he stuck his head out and got the job done again," Parr said.

Parr had earlier guided Alverta's three-quarter sister Aerobatics, trained by Snowden, to an impressive debut win in the Triple M Grill Team 2YO Handicap (1000m).

"She's a very classy filly," the jockey said.
