Trainer Mick Price has questioned the class of Cosmocrat but will give the lightly raced three-year-old the chance to prove him wrong in the Group One Rosehill Guineas.

Price said that on form Cosmocrat can't turn the tables on Shoot Out in Saturday's Guineas but he is hoping that he can rise to the occasion over 2000 metres.

Last start the Al Maher gelding was beaten two lengths when seventh to Shoot Out in the Group One Randwick Guineas (1600m) but while the margin wasn't a thrashing, Price was impressed with the winner.

"Horses like Shoot Out are going to give them wind burn but we will see how we go," Price said.

The Guineas has attracted an impressive line up including Shoot Out, Australian Guineas winner Rock Classic, Extra Zero, Hanks, Run For Naara, Kidnapped, and Zabrasive.

"Cosmocrat lacks a little bit of Group One class but as a staying type of three-year-old he is going to be given his chance," Price said.

"He is has done well since going to Sydney and we are pushing forward optimistically."

Cosmocrat has posted wins at Cranbourne and Geelong in his only five starts and quickly graduated to Group Two level two starts ago when fourth to Extra Zero in the Autumn Classic (1800m) at Caulfield.

Blake Shinn rode him for the first time when he finished strongly in the Randwick Guineas.

Inkster, who was beaten 1-1/2 lengths when fourth to Elmore in the Roy Higgins Quality (2600m) at Flemington, will be Price's other Sydney runner on Saturday in the Listed Manion Cup (2400m).

She will be joined in Sydney this week by Heart Of Dreams who has been freshened for the Group One George Ryder Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on April 3.

"He will leave tomorrow night and the Ryder will be more his trip," Price said.

Heart Of Dreams was fourth to Zipping in the Australian Cup (2000m) after posting seconds at his other two runs this campaign in the Group One Orr Stakes to Typhoon Tracy and in the Group Two St George Stakes (1800m) to La Rocket.

"He pulled up good after the Australian Cup and has freshened up well," Price said.

Price said plans were yet to be finalised for Velocitea who was second to Rostova in the Group One Sportingbet Classic (1200m) in Adelaide and Aloha, who was fourth in the Australasian Oaks (2000m).

"There are a few options for Velocitea and I will talk to (owner) Rob Ferguson about where we go with her," Price said.

He said she came up "a couple of steps" short at Morphettville but was gallant in defeat.

"Damien squeezed everything out of her that he could have but Rostova was a bit better on the day."

Price said Oliver also gave Aloha a gem of a ride in the Oaks and she battled hard all the way up the straight.

"She was brave but is probably not suited to 2000 metres," Price said.
