Outstanding mare Alverta has been given the all clear to resume her quest for more summer riches in Queensland this weekend.

The Paul Messara-trained six-year-old was ordered back to the trials when she proved hard to load into the barriers before her dynamic win in the Just Now Quality (1300m) at Eagle Farm on December 12.

She walked into the barriers and jumped cleanly with no trouble at Wyong on Tuesday and was given an easy workout, finishing last of five runners.

Her next assignment is the Bernborough Handicap (1630m) at Doomben on Saturday.

"She was fine, she just had to go through the barrier and was no trouble," Messara said.

"The Queensland rule is that she had to have either two jump-outs or an official trial.

"She's not really temperamental. It was very hot that day and that may have affected her."

The Bernborough is scheduled to be Alverta's last start this summer with Messara looking ahead to the Queensland winter.

"Unless something happens, this will more than likely be her last start for the time being," he said.

"The plan is to bring her back for the winter with the main aim the Group One Winter Stakes."

Raced by Messara's father John of Arrowfield Stud, Alverta returned to the racetrack when she failed to get in foal to Charge Forward in the spring.

There are 22 entries for the Bernborough including Our Lukas and Rags To Riches who finished out of the placings in last Saturday's Villiers Stakes in Sydney.

Messara's other runner in Brisbane on Saturday will be diminutive filly Bouzy Rouge in the B J McLachlan Stakes (1200m).

The Snitzel two-year-old was a last-start winner over 1000 metres at Tamworth following placings at Scone and Kembla at her other two starts.

"She is an honest little horse but she is tiny," Messara said.

"She is the smallest horse I have ever trained and is smaller than most of our yearlings.

"But she is a pocket dynamo."
