BAIRNSDALE RACE EIGHT: 2 the eachway selection

Tips from BRIAN BLACKWELL
We had a nice collect from (2) Smart Dart 7/4 on Oct 19 and I'm confident the 5YO can deliver the goods again in race 8, a BM64 hdcp 1206m at Bairnsdale on Tuesday.
Smart Dart came 4-deep on the turn to unwind a strong finale for 1st/13 in a BM64 at Bairnsdale 1200m on Oct 19. He went to the line full of running for an emphatic win by 1.2 lens. Colin & Cindy Alderson have given him a month off so he returns 'fresh' for another crack in BM64 class, albeit having to carry 60kgs (Limit 54), an effective rise of  5kgs on his last start win. However, he has gate #1 and there's lots of scope for him to improve.
RESULT: Smart Dart 1st $2.30

BAIRNSDALE RACE THREE: 9 the eachway selection

Tips from BRIAN BLACKWELL
After a luckless run last start, (9) Cocolicious 16/1 looks capable of a KO performance in race 3, a Mdn Plate 1206m at Bairnsdale on Tuesday.
Mark Webb's 4YO mare finished 7th/12 behind Tricky Affair in a Mdn f&m 1400m at Bendigo on Oct 1, btn 4.3 lens. She would have been closer but got held up until inside the 100m. She's now having her third run off a spell and looks ready to produce a bold run.
RESULT: Cocolicious 1st $9.60/$2.20

Roll the dice for Casino Dancer

SANDOWN HILLSIDE RACE SIX: 11 the eachway selection

Tips from BRIAN BLACKWELL
A bold performance in Grp 2 company at Flemington should have (11) Casino Dancer 10/1 primed as a sound eachway prospect for race 6, the Eclipse Stakes (Grp 3) 1800m at Sandown Hillside on Saturday.
The Hawkesbury-trained 5YO mare has a habit of popping up at good odds. She was 15/1 last start when 3rd/15 to Lucia Valentina in the Matriarch 2000m at Flemington on Nov 7, btn 1.5 lens. That followed her 3rd/7 over 1600m at Randwick on Oct 24 and before that a Grp 3 win at Randwick 1600m on Oct 10. Now on the Limit (54kgs), Casino Dancer gets her chance again.
RESULT: Casino Dancer 1st $14.80/$4.50

Meech & Morgan can be the Boss at Echuca

ECHUCA RACE THREE: 4 the eachway selection

Tips from BRIAN BLACKWELL
Taking on a Darren Weir odds-on shot is always a big gamble but I'm having a go via (4) Manhattan Boss 9/2 in race 3, a Mdn Plate 1400m at Echuca on Monday.
The Sebring 3YO shaped well at his only raceday outing, finishing 6th/14 to the smart Ragnaar in a Mdn 1400m at Bendigo on Sep 17, btn 3.2 lens. Linda Meech is aboard for the Peter Morgan/Craig Widdison stable. This is a dynamic combination currently holding a 31% win strike with 27 winners from 86 runners. On the Weir side of things, the statistics are sound for his odds-on pops - a 52% win strike of 194 winners from 375 odds-on favorites.
RESULT: Manhattan Boss 1st $2.30 (Weir's Patracca 2nd).

King-hit looms at Geelong

GEELONG RACE TWO: 2 and 6 bracket selection

Tips from BRIAN BLACKWELL
There should be enough profit to squeeze with a bracket bet on (2) Edraak 7/2 and (6) King Amongst Many 3/1 in race 2, a 3YO Mdn Plate 1300m at Geelong on Sunday.
Edraak caught my eye when a debut 2nd/9 Mornington 1200m Mdn on Nov 1. The Sebring gelding, trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, came from 8th on the turn to finish 2.5 lens from the winner Hardern. He'll be primed up after that encouraging effort. Tony McEvoy's Snitzel gelding King Amongst Many ran 4th/12 on debut at M'ville 1200m Mdn on Oct 17. He pulled up with heat stress. The mail is that he's a very useful type who has done well since arriving in Victoria. I suggest we can expect a bold performance.
RESULT: Edraak 1st $5.50  (King Amongst Many 2nd to land the quinella and trifecta).
