The pair worked over 5f (1000m) with the first three furlongs (600m) run at a steady pace until they were asked to quicken in the final 2f (400m). TT, partnered by regular jockey Jay Ford, had galloped in front with Scenic Blast, ridden by trainer Danny Morton, staying a little wide of him until they joined forces in the closing stages and were locked together as they passed the winning post. Scenic Blast is the 2/1 fav for the July Cup after taking the Group 1 King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot in pulsating style when beating Fleeting Spirit by three-quarters of a length. He was held back from the second leg of the sprint double, the Golden Jubilee Stakes, at the royal meeting.
