Gold Coast trainer John Wallace didn't mince words after Shoot Out raced wide all the way and still managed a commanding win in the Liston. JW says: 'He'll win the Cox Plate...He's nowhere near fit. We're just playing around with him at the moment and he's doing this.' Bookmakers reacted quickly to Shoot Out's authoritative win. Betstar slashed his Cox Plate quote from $9 to $6. He's now a clear fav for the 2040m Moonee Valley WFA classic.

Jockey Stathi Katsidis copped a 9-meetings suspension for careless riding in the Liston. It means he will miss the ride on Decision Time in Sydney next week but will be back to partner Shoot Out in the Memsie.
