The raid follows BTR's impressive 3 lens victory in the Listed Falvelon Quality (1200m) at Eagle Farm on Sat. Schweida says: "I know it's a bit of a task coming down to Melbourne so Saturday's win just told us that he was going in the right direction and he seems to be on an upward spiral so we thought we'd give him his chance...It didn't look like we were going to get to the race initially. He missed a run on the Australia Day weekend when the meeting was washed out in Brisbane. Then we took him on the float to Sydney and it poured rain on the Friday night and I didn't want to run him on a Heavy 10 with 59kg...It's starting to fall into place now, but it was certainly a bit of a rocky start to the preparation." Craig Williams has been booked for the Newmarket ride.

Darley assistant trainer Paul Snowden says the stable's well-backed Blue Diamond runner Guelph looks to have escaped injury after nearly falling leaving the gates in the big race. She may now progress to the Grp 2 Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) in two weeks time . "You've got to wait and see how she is, but we've been over her this morning and there is nothing wrong with her and no injury," Snowden says. "Montsegur and Metastasio will go to the paddock, Guelph might stay in Melbourne for the Sires Produce but we've just got to see what happens over the coming days."
