And then there's the hilarious claims emanating from Racing NSW, one of which is a $200 a week pay rise for strappers. That really is music to their ears but, again, don't waste too much time waiting for it to happen. And what else do we have to look forward to thanks to the coming largesse from the big bookies? Well, UNBIASED tracks. Wow, fantastic! And how's that going to happen? All tracks synthetic?
Will the corporate bookies and Betfair lie down and take it? I doubt it. They can appeal to the High Court. They can take a stand via the anti-competition laws. There are enough legal moves left for them to keep this little baby squawking for a long time.
