The girls are copping it...Apprentice jockey Alison Threadwell has serious injuries after that big race pileup at Scone on Tuesday. She was one of four riders to come down in the Time Thief Maiden Handicap along with two other apprentices, Jodie Riley and Clare Pettigrew and senior rider Jeff Penza. She and Riley were both badly hurt. Alison has a fractured vertebrae and ribs, a collapsed lung, lacerated kidney and liver. Jodie Riley has a fractured collarbone and eye socket.
