Up and down filly Chance Bye has turned in a slick trackwork gallop on the eve of her return to racing at Warwick Farm on Saturday. The gallop has thrown even more of a mystery of just how she'll fare in the Grp 3 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m). Jockey Kathy O'Hara knows the preparation hasn't gone to plan due to wet tracks and the filly's problem habit of striking her hind legs. She's wearing new boots for the upcoming start. Kathy says: 'She's a hard filly to get a guide on because she's a hopeless trackworker and she reserves her best for raceday...It's been one of those preps where not much has gone right and with the wet tracks I'm just not sure where she's at.' On Tuesday, though, Chance Bye worked well. Kathy says: 'It's the best she's ever pulled up,...She galloped on the course proper at Kembla and ran up 600m in 34 and a tick.'
