BEFORE PART THREE, A HUMBLE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.

It was amazing wasn't it?

A demolition job. OK, so More Joyous handed it on a plate to the pinup boy, but he still had to be good enough.

Good enough???

Devastating.

I see Roman tipped the exacta. Not bad, and a nice return. Me, I risked a few small bets on those huge odds I mentioned. You can't win them all.

Massively good, So You Think is.

Can he win the Cup?

They say he might run in the Mackinnon first. If that's the plan I'd be waiting to see how he pulls up. Three big races in ten days is heavy stuff, even for this bloke.

And Bart has three other big chances. Whatever you do don't write the two mares off. And who knows, Precedence might even show a bit more consistency than he has ever suggested he's capable of. Anybody recall the Sydney Cup this year?***

So, I'll wait and see.

It's all I can do anyway.

*** Last actually, nearly ten lengths off the winner. I have to say that I thought he was looking for somewhere to lie down at the end of the Moonee Valley Cup, but then I can be wrong (of course...)

(Part THREE of our four-part look at the big races will be posted later in the week).
