TAB is going the extra distance to ensure the memory of Black Caviar's appeartance at Randwick on Saturday will last a lifetime for punters.

For the historic promotion marking the occasion for racing enthusiasts and the general public alike, TAB.com.au  has produced 350,000 Black Caviar ticket holders to be distributed on Saturday.

Customers that place a bet on Black Caviar in any TAB outlet in NSW or Victoria will earn themselves a ticket wallet, signed by Peter Moody and Luke Nolen, to save the ticket as a keepsake.

Yours to keep, the gift with purchase will ensure that TAB customers can own their very own piece of the Hall Of Famer – whether they get to see her in the flesh or not!

In years to come, the legend of Black Caviar will grow in a similar vein to that of the immortal Phar Lap.

While memorabilia on ‘The Red Terror’ is scarce, TAB is giving thousands of Australians the chance to capture a piece of the great mare.

In another first for the TAB, the traditional white betting tickets issued at retail outlets and on-course will be replaced in selected venues by tickets covered in the Black Caviar colours. Your bet on Black Caviar will be printed on limited edition paper that can be displayed proudly in your ticket wallet and take pride of place on the mantelpiece or in the pool room for years to come.

"I think it’s wonderful that the TAB has gone to such great lengths to produce this keepsake for its customers,” trainer Peter Moody said.

"It’s a great way of securing your own little piece of Black Caviar.

"This ticket holder will be something that people can keep forever.

"I’ve seen some weird and wonderful things when this mare gets to the races – flags, banners, tattoos – you name it. But this promotion is something completely different. It’s big on a whole new scale.”
