Morton may not have won a Brisbane Cup but the trainer's dad did with Muros in 1978. Len Morton, who once worked for the late TJ Smith, who trained Tulloch, has been looking after Scenic Shot for his son is in the UK with Scenic Blast gearing up for the Queen's Royal Ascot meeting.

"The horse is at the top of his game," Morton said yesterday. "Everything is going good."

Scenic Shot finished fourth in the Brisbane Cup last year with 59kg. The horse did two laps of Eagle Farm on Thursday with Morton reporting Scenic Shot was squealing and bouncing around on the way back to the stables.
