RACING NSW stewards are still demanding NRL legend Andrew Johns, Sydney brothel owner Eddie Hayson and former jockey Allan Robinson appear at the More Joyous inquiry on Monday, reports the Daily Telegraph.
It says: It is understood the three key witnesses are reluctant to attend with Robinson already indicating through his lawyer, Chris Murphy, that he won't appear due to health reasons.
Chief steward Ray Murrihy said it was hoped all persons relevant to the investigation would make themselves available at Monday's inquiry into More Joyous's poor run in the All Aged Stakes last week.
Murphy said Robinson's "health issues" meant he is not up to being cross-examined at a stewards inquiry.
"Allan will not be going to the More Joyous inquiry," Murphy said. "He is in no position to endure the stress.
"He pushed himself to undergo the Today Tonight interview to tell of his simple role in the More Joyous investigation. I am hoping that Allan will be up to providing another account of his minor involvement in a few telephone calls that put Andrew Johns and John Singleton in contact."
