THE magical mark of 100 winners is still tantalising for Nash Rawiller, but planning for next season also has the premier jockey setting goals beyond August 1, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

It says: The short-term goal is eight winners in four meetings in Sydney to move from 92 to 100 before the end of the month. But in the longer term, punters might be seeing less of Rawiller in the Harbour City during the spring.

The 36-year-old had given up on breaking the ton when he took his family for a holiday earlier in the month but it remains a possibility. ''It would be a great achievement, and there is something special about getting to three figures,'' Rawiller said. ''You only have to look at other sports like cricket and the importance placed on getting to 100 to know that. But if I can't get it this year I will be looking to do it next year. I just want to give myself a chance, but if I need to get to the last meeting needing three wins that would be great.''

Rawiller's figures for the year show how consistent he has been. He rode 121 winners (in total) overall in 2009-10, and with a fortnight to go in the season he sits on 111. He should exceed his 102 metropolitan winners nationwide for 2009-10, and made it 101 winners after scoring on Future Solution at Rosehill on Saturday.
His group 1 tally is down from nine to five, and it has prompted a review of his spring plans. ''I have been very happy with my season,'' Rawiller said. ''To win the jockeys' premiership again and prove last year was no fluke is something I'm proud of. I have worked hard at being consistent, and it's paid off.
