TRAINER Peter Moody expects his unbeaten colt Master Harry to be hard to beat when he resumes in today's Vain Stakes at Caulfield but he warned the colt was no certainty to chase a Caulfield Guineas this spring, reports The Age.

It says: The Magic Albert colt, who debuted at Flemington in March in listed company with an effortless win, is the early $11 second favourite for October's first classic of the spring, but Moody said yesterday he had doubts on the colt's maturity to run out 1600 metres.

''I've got no doubt on his ability but whether he's mature enough for a strong mile in the Guineas is a query,'' Moody said. ''There are any number of options to take this spring, so I'm not worried too much about the Guineas at this stage.''

Moody said he could keep the colt to sprinting and that may mean a match against the older sprinters in the group 1 Manikato Stakes on AFL grand final eve on September 24.

Master Harry clashes with the Caulfield Guineas favourite Star Witness over 1100 metres today. Betting shops have reported frenzied action with the Blue Diamond Stakes winner of last season, Star Witness, into $3.30 late yesterday after $4.80 was bet on Thursday.
