DANNY O'Brien rounded out last week by marrying Nina Begagic and tomorrow at Eagle Farm the Flemington trainer is out to secure the final group 1 of the season with Absolut Glam in the Winter Stakes, reports The Age newspaper.

Its report adds: "The horse is going great. She is in the same sort of form that she was in going into the race last year when she won it," O'Brien said.

Damien Oliver takes over the ride on Absolut Glam from Michael Rodd, who was aboard in her past two starts, in the Doomben 10,000 and Stradbroke Handicap. "Damien has ridden Absolut Glam before, he knows the mare, so it would be good if they have a bit of luck together," O'Brien said.

O'Brien and Oliver will also combine with Ballack, who is out to make it successive wins in the Tattersall's Cup, while the trainer and jockey link with last-start winner Keano in the W. J. Healy Stakes.

"Ballack won at Doomben and then ran well in the Brisbane Cup. He's up in the weights but should handle it," O'Brien said. "And Keano did the job well when he won the Lightning at Eagle Farm. This Saturday will just about see them out, though."

Clashing with Absolut Glam in the 1400-metre Winter Stakes will be the Steele Ryan-trained Chinchilla Rose, a last-start winner of the Dane Ripper Stakes at Eagle Farm.

Chinchilla Rose will be ridden by former premier Sydney apprentice Peter Wells, who enjoyed a breakthrough group 1 win earlier this season on Newport in the Metropolitan.

"I was meant to ride (Chinchilla Rose) in the Eye Liner last Saturday (at Ipswich) but when it drew wide they scratched it and I was lucky enough to pick up a winner at Rosehill," Wells said.

Chinchilla Rose finished fourth to Neroli in the group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes at Rosehill during the Sydney autumn carnival and Wells said she was overdue for a group 1 victory.
