HUGH BOWMAN returned from a week working on the family farm up Dunedoo way to ride All Silent in an exhibition gallop on the course proper at Randwick yesterday. On Saturday, Bowman returns from a careless-riding suspension and trainer John O'Shea's multiple group 1 winner Racing To Win awaits in the Doomben Cup (2020 metres), reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

It says: "It is a decent step up in distance coming out of the 1400 metres of the T.J. Smith but John felt it was a better option than next week's Doomben 10,000," Bowman said yesterday. "His only try over the 2000 metres was in a Cox Plate, and I wouldn't be ruling out him running the trip on that run. He feels to me every bit as good as he has been at his last two preparations, and he has run in two very strong races going into this."

Racing To Win ($5.50) headed the group 1 weight-for-age Doomben Cup field of 21 when acceptances were taken yesterday, with only 16 allowed to run. Racing To Win has come up with barrier four and upset Hollindale Stakes winner Fulmonti ($15) will jump from barrier two.

TAB Sportsbet has last year's Doncaster Handicap winner Triple Honour ($6) on the second line in a wide market. Trainer Chris Waller has engaged Damien Oliver for the mount on Triple Honour, which will be launched from barrier three.

Last year's Queensland Oaks and Derby winner Riva San ($18) was allotted the outside barrier (21), and trainer Peter Moody has not ruled out scratching the handy mare.
