Sydney punters need to resign themselves to the fact they will be encountering a very heavy track at Randwick tomorrow.

Track Manager Navesh Ramdhani has assured Racing Network the track will not be improving in the next 24 hours.

“We have had 29.2mls of rain since Tuesday night and we’re at a ‘heavy 9’ now and there is more rain forecast,” he told RN.

“The mornings are cold, nothing dries out and there is no grass growth.

"It’s a difficult time of the year and we just have to deal with it and do the best we can,” he added.

Ramdhani said the forecast was for more showers in the next 24 hours, so you can be assured we will be racing on a very heavy surface,” he said.

The false rail is back in the true position for tomorrow’s meeting, the first time in six weeks it has been there.
