She and trainer Jarrod McLean think it's better that she hone her skills on country and provincial racing. Jackie's only 17 and she's had a tremendous start to her riding career, booting home 56 winners from 299 rides in 7 months. She rode her first Melbourne city winner on June 27 - but from now on she'll be rejecting city mounts. In a frank admission, Jackie says: ' My weight claim seems to be going quicker than my riding is improving...I want to outride my provincial claim and then I can come to the city next year.' Now, there's a young lass with her brain switched on!
