With $2.22 million in prizemoney spread across nine races we have just 79 acceptances for the opening of the Golden Slipper Festival at Rosehill on Saturday. But, hey, no worries, they are racing their horses in the trials, where no money can be won! There were 17 trials at Rosehill on Thursday and some 40 horses were ballotted out! An extra set of trials will now be run on Monday at Warwick Farm with 15 heats. Crazy world,
