THERE'S a simple reason Chris Munce has wasted so hard to ride out-of-sorts All Too Hard in the George Main Stakes at Randwick tomorrow - he has no doubts the colt is a Group 1 winner in the making, reports the Courier-Mail.

It says: Munce won the George Main 10 years ago on Defier and has given himself every chance to repeat that success by dropping 3kg in the past fortnight to make the 50.5kg impost tomorrow.

Munce has had three rides on three-year-olds in the race. He ran second on Brave Warrior in 1994, seventh on Perfect Paradise in 1999 and then third on Patinack's Onemorenomore in 2009.

He is building in confidence that All Too Hard can better that trio after getting a feel of him in a Rosehill trial last Friday.

"He's certainly a nice horse. No risk, he's a genuine Group 1 horse," Munce said. "He's got more improvement in him, and once he gets to Melbourne then you will probably see the real horse, but that's not saying he can't win this race."
