Champion Australian jockey Craig Williams will ride Kelinni in an £80,000 ($A144,659) 2800-metre handicap at Goodwood in the UK on Tuesday (12.40am Wednesday AEST). Kelinni, now owned by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock and trained by Marco Botti at Newmarket, ran fourth in the 2012 Melbourne Cup behind Green Moon, when trained by Chris Waller in Sydney.

Williams will ride Kelinni in the Bet365 Summer Stakes (2800m). His rivals of note will include Van Percy, a four-year-old son of Sir Percy owned by Terry Henderson and Simon O’Donnell’s OTI Racing, and the Brian Ellison-trained Saptapadi, who had unsuccessful Australian campaigns in 2011 (with Ellison) and 2012 (with Jim Conlan).

Williams is on a working holiday in Europe and he will honour a commitment he made to the connections ofKelinni to ride that horse at Goodwood. (Racing Network).
