CRAIG Williams remains the favourite to win his fourth consecutive Melbourne jockeys' title after securing a full book of eight rides at tomorrow's Betfair Park meeting, reports The Age.

It says: Bookmakers Betstar marked Williams at $1.75 after yesterday's acceptances with six-time premiership winner Damien Oliver, who has six confirmed rides, at $2.05. Both riders have 70 wins with tomorrow's races the final metropolitan meeting of the season.

Williams had been as short as $1.30 to win the title before Saturday's Moonee Valley meeting but he failed to ride a winner while Oliver, who was marked a $3.50 chance, snared a winning double to join his great rival. For the first time, both the jockeys' and trainers' premierships are tied with one meeting remaining as David Hayes is equal with Lee Freedman on 64 winners. Hayes will saddle eight runners while Freedman will have just two starters.
