Nash Rawiller celebrated his 36th birthday in style with a winner in Hong Kong on Wednesday night.

Sydney's premier jockey represented Australia in the International Jockeys' Championship at Happy Valley and was at his best with an all-the-way win in the second leg of the four-race challenge.

Great Britain's Ryan Moore won the competition with wins in the first and fourth legs while Rawiller's success on Record High helped him earn third placing.

Douglas Whyte, winner of 10 straight Hong Kong premierships, claimed the third leg and finished second in the final standings.

The jockeys' championship featured 12 of the world's best riders.

Rawiller had only ridden in Hong Kong once before when he partnered Elvstroem to a ninth placing in the 2005 QEII Cup at Sha Tin.

He was making his first appearance at Happy Valley.

Meanwhile, this year's Golden Slipper-winning jockey Brett Prebble was suspended for improper riding at Wednesday night's meeting.

Stewards said Prebble "extended his right arm away from his body" during the running of the fourth leg of the jockeys' championship.

His suspension, which covers eight Hong Kong meetings, will start after Sunday's International meeting at Sha Tin.
