The Gai Waterhouse-trained import Fiorente has opened an $8 favourite in TAB's first Caulfield Cup markets. The former European galloper who finished second in last year's Melbourne Cup is a top elect from a host of imported gallopers now in Australian care including Sea Moon at $11 and Jet Away at $13.

Fiorente is also second favourite in Melbourne Cup betting at $11 behind $6.50 favourite Puissance De Lune.

The Mark Kavanagh-trained Australian Cup winner Super Cool is rated a $17 chance for the Caulfield Cup but has opened a $4.60 joint favourite in Cox Plate markets alongside boom Kiwi galloper It's A Dundeel.

Another Kavanagh-trained runner, the unbeaten mare Atlantic Jewel, is on the third line of betting at $8 with her younger sister Commanding Jewel at $21.

Green Moon, who ran unplaced in last year’s Cox Plate before going on to win the Melbourne Cup is on the sixth line of betting to atone for that defeat at $15.

TAB will be releasing Caulfield and Thousand Guineas markets on Wednesday.
