Capitalist ($8), winner of the Breeders’ Plate, has opened clear favourite to win the 2016 Golden Slipper at Rosehill.

The Snowden-trained colt ensured favouritism after a dominant 3 length win in the first Sydney two-year-old race of the season.

“We can only base our market on what we have seen and Capitalist has been far and away the most impressive two-year-old so far,” said TAB’s Glenn Munsie

“He is down to trial next Tuesday and we will be following with interest ahead of his return in the Wyong Magic Millions.

Team Snowden have two of the top three in betting, then Detective at $26 who shares the fourth line of betting.

Other betting points of note:

·         Godolphin have filly Calliope ($15) who won the Gimcrack Stakes after overcoming early difficulty

·         Defcon ($15) is yet to race, but was the star of the official two-year-old trials at Randwick in September

·         Detective ($26) is another for the Snowden team and finished 2nd behind Capitalist in the Breeders’ Plate
