Boom colt Capitalist ($3.50) has opened clear favourite to win the $2.5 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic on January 9.
“He couldn’t have been any more impressive when winning by 3 lengths on debut in the Breeders’ Plate in October,” said TAB’s Glenn Munsie.
“After trialling tomorrow he should then head to the Wyong Magic Millions, a race won by Unencumbered (2014) and Karuta Queen (2011), before they went on to win the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.”
Capitalist trials at Rosehill tomorrow in Heat 7 at 9.09am which is live on Sky Thoroughbred Central.
Sandown Guineas winner Mahuta, who has won four straight races, heads the betting at $4 in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas.
