Despite having not ridden in Australia since August, the popular jockey partnered the Mick Price-trained first starter Resemblance ($1.50F) to an easy victory in the Doc Shop Maiden Plate (1100m), before following up a race later on Luke Oliver's Halfblood Prince in the Monacellars Wine and Spirits Maiden Plate (1430m) and then making it a treble aboard General Offer in the Cargo Lounge Handicap (1100m).

Back for another crack...WA's top performer Luckygray is being set for a tilt at Australia's biggest mile race. The Gino Poletti-trained galloper confirmed his ranking as WA's #1 horse last Saturday with his impressive win in the Grp 1 Kingston Town Classic 1800m at Ascot. Now off for a spell, Luckygray is being set for races like the Newmarket Handicap at Flemington and the Doncaster Mile at Randwick.
