JOHN O'SHEA will fire two shots - the unbeaten Colorado Claire and Hendricus - at the Inglis Mile and the $100,000 bonus it carries at Warwick Farm on Saturday, reports the Sydney Morning Herald/The Age.

It says: The three-year-old pair will back up after pleasing their trainer at Rosehill on Saturday. Colorado Claire made it three wins in as many starts against the fillies, while Hendricus was a competitive fifth in a benchmark 75 contest.

''We won the perfect lead-up with the filly [Colorado Claire] and I was very pleased with Hendricus. Being a colt, there wasn't a race for him against the three-year-olds, so he had to take on the older horses,'' O'Shea said.

''He has already knocked off one of these bonuses at Wagga worth $50,000, and it would be great if he could add another $100,000 to that. It is hard to know what we will be up against on Saturday but the other lead-up I can see was won by Haut Normandie at Randwick.''

Nash Rawiller had been engaged to ride Hendricus on Saturday while Christian Reith will take over from Jim Cassidy on Colorado Claire after his suspension for whip breaches.

O'Shea has targeted the Inglis bonus series, which runs through the season around the country, and Colorado Claire had her preparation tailored towards Saturday. Wins at Goulburn and Kembla Grange gave an insight to her ability but a third class-record win at Rosehill probably sealed favouritism for the Inglis Mile.
