John O'Shea has dusted the cobwebs off Solar Charged's shock defeat in the Reisling Stakes and is looking forward to Saturday's Group One Rosehill Guineas with lightly raced stayer Zabrasive.

Solar Charged was deposed as Golden Slipper favourite by Military Rose after the Queensland filly upstaged her in the Reisling at Rosehill but O'Shea was far from despondent.

He believes Solar Charged will be much better suited in the Golden Slipper where the speed is usually on from the start and says his youngster will be a different horse if she can settle just off the speed rather than lead like she did on Saturday.

"She's pulled up great, she never missed a green," O'Shea said.

"She's always been a very willing filly and from the point of view of the race on Saturday, we were trying to eradicate that to run in the Slipper.

"The boys ran faster times and had she been in the colts and gelding division she would have been one-out, one-back but instead she had to work a little bit to get across.

"Ideally I'd like to take a sit in the Slipper and if she draws a good gate she can sit one-out, one-back.

"If she doesn't draw well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

O'Shea is also hoping Zabrasive can draw a good barrier in this Saturday's Group One Rosehill Guineas (2000m) and Nash Rawiller is the new rider for the three-year-old replacing the suspended Hugh Bowman.

Zabrasive was an eye-catching fourth to Shoot Out in the Randwick Guineas and O'Shea said he was yet to get to the bottom of him.

"He's a progressive horse, that was only his second start this preparation and his fifth start all up so he's a bit untapped in that respect," O'Shea said.

"He went back the other day because he drew 15 but it depends where he draws on Saturday, whether he goes that far back."

The Guineas looks set to be a cracking race with Australian Guineas winner Rock Classic adding a new dimension to the field that contested the Randwick Guineas.

Michael Rodd, fresh from a stakes race treble at Rosehill, will reunite with the Bart Cummings-trained galloper and, like pre-race favourite Shoot Out, connections will decide after the Guineas whether he heads to the AJC Australian Derby or Doncaster Mile.

Chris Munce will partner John Thompson-trained filly Run For Naara while Peter Snowden confirmed Kidnapped would fly the flag for Darley.
