A sister to Friday night's William Reid Stakes winner Foxwedge, She's A Fox will be out to clinch a Golden Slipper start when she races in the Magic Night Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.
It will be her introduction to black type racing after the $600,000 Easter yearling sale purchase increased her value with a Canterbury win under lights.
But her stocks as a future broodmare soared even higher on the back of Foxwedge's Group One win over Hay List.
"We were cheering as loudly as anyone when Foxwedge won," trainer Anthony Cummings said.
A daughter of Australia's hottest sire Fastnet Rock, She's A Fox has figured in a riding switch ahead of the Group Two Magic Night, one of two final qualifying races on Saturday for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper a week later.
Peter Robl takes over from Hugh Bowman.
Bowman has forsaken the Magic Night ride because of his Golden Slipper commitment to the Gai Waterhouse-trained Raceway.
"Getting the same rider for Saturday and the Golden Slipper is important," Cummings said.
She's A Fox is a $51 Golden Slipper chance but Cummings expects her stocks to be on the rise after the Magic Night.
"She was pretty impressive when she won at Canterbury. She did all the things we expected her to do," he said.
"Like a lot of horses she is going to need a (good) barrier but if she gets one then she's a real chance."
A Magic Night win will solve any Golden Slipper order of entry concerns for She's A Fox but defeat won't necessarily mean she is out of the running for the Slipper.
"Providing she runs a good race, we'll accept for the Slipper and take it from there," Cummings said.
Cummings will also start Agueda in the Magic Night with Blake Shinn keeping the ride after her close fourth in the Sweet Embrace Stakes.
The stablemates are among 21 Magic Night nominations which also include speedy filly Ichihara, Silver Slipper placegetter Kyria and the Queensland-trained Doubtfilly.
Entries for the final colts and geldings qualifier , the Pago Pago Stakes, have been extended.
Among the 12 nominations so far are Black Caviar's unbeaten half-brother All Too Hard and Collect, a horse backed at triple figure odds to win the Golden Slipper.
