Gold Coast trainer Bryan Guy left Doomben with a dilemma on Saturday but he's delighted it is him in a quandary and not someone else.

Guy's ghostly grey Shuffle The Cash scored a timely win in the $125,000 Premier's Cup (2200m) and although the win wasn't unexpected Guy has a big decision to make.

"I was unsure whether he'd get the 2200 metres today - that was my only reservation going into the race," Guy said.

"But he won easily and I've now got to decide whether to head to the Brisbane Cup or the Ipswich Cup."

The $300,000 Group Two Brisbane Cup is run over 2400m on June 11 while the $200,000 Ipswich Cup is run over 2150m seven days later.

Guy acknowledged Shuffle The Cash was racing in career-best form and hinted the six-year-old might be ready to run the Brisbane Cup trip.

"He's never gone better. He's such a pleasure to have in the stable and he might be looking for the Brisbane Cup trip now," Guy said.

"I'll see how he pulls up and decide what to do. It's a nice problem to have."

Shuffle The Cash ($9.50) gave gun jockey Luke Nolen the third leg of a winning treble when he raced away to win by 1-3/4 lengths.

Tinseltown ($14) ran his best race for some time and his effort to finish second after racing without luck impressed his trainer Michael Moroney.

"He had no luck at all. That was a good effort and it's good to see him back in form," Moroney said.

Local galloper Little Stranger ($41) looked set for victory when he dashed clear at the top of the straight but tired in the closing stages to finish a long head back third.
