Team Williams is refusing to let its new 'trainer' Robert Hickmott speak to the media, and Nick is saying it's all about the corporate structure of the Williams' operation (see Latest News). Joourno Steve Moran, whose comments sparked the row with TVN, isn't buying the explanation. He says: 'Williams' handling of the media during the spring was far far from good...Racing's not a corporate structure, it's an industry built by hundreds of thousands of punters that put their money down each week and they're certainly entitled to hear from the trainer and jockey of any racehorse. They're not really interested in the thoughts of the chairman of the board...How many people would run away from AFL football if we were not allowed to see or hear from players and coaches and have to depend on the president of the club to hold press conferences? It would be like Geelong winning this year's grand final and after the game the face of the club is the son of the president. Do you think many people would stay interested?'
