Latest reports for Saturday: Black Caviar remains unchanged
Latest reports for Saturday: Black Caviar remains unchanged from her opening quote of $1.10 in the T J Smith Stakes, but that may not be for long. Bel Sprinter ($15 to $11) represents the biggest danger, while Atomic Force ($201 to $151) has also gathered interest today. Atomic Force, who finished 7th behind Bel Sprinter last start in the Grp 1 Galaxy, attracted one bet of $1000 each-way at $201 this morning. “Punters are generally throwing support behind other runners to beat Black Caviar which is surprising,” said TAB’s Matt Jenkins. “The champion mare hasn’t started longer than $1.10 in Australia in two years but we may see that happen on Saturday. She traditionally eases in her races before a flood of big money arrives late.”
In other betting news:
*Il Cavallo ($1.90) has been heavily backed to win the Kindergarten Stakes. The Peter Moody colt was fancied in the Slipper before failing to gain a start
*Toydini ($2.80) and Tatra ($4.60) are the two fancied runners in the Carbine Club Stakes
*Hathras ($4.60 to $3.60) has been well found again and may start favourite in front of Julienas ($3.40)
*Charlie Boy ($21 to $15) is tipped as the knockout runner in the Sires’ Produce Stakes; Overreach ($1.55)
*It’s A Dundeel ($1.25) expected to win but not attracting much interest today
*Arinosa ($5.50 to $4.60) to start favourite in the Sapphire Stakes.
