TAB Sportsbet report that Alcopop has firmed from $17 into $7.5 after winning the Herbert Power. During the week the biggest bet was $1,000 at $21. Alcopop was $301 to win the Melbourne Cup in early betting.
Thousand Guineas
Final Field betting opened today with Irish Lights $2.50 favorite. Irish Lights opened $26 and got to as much as $41 to win the Thousand Guineas back in late August. TAB Sportsbet took one bet of $2,000 @ $12 in early September. On Saturday one customer placed $6,000 @ $2.80.
