Nash Rawiller, who is heading to Darwin for the weekend's cup meeting, had to forgo two mounts due to being overweight at Randwick on Wednesday, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

It says: ''I can't recall you struggling with 56 kilograms,'' senior steward Greg Rudolph told Rawiller.

''Look, I'm having a lot of trouble with it [weight] at the moment,'' Rawiller replied.

''Given up boxing at Coogee?'' Rudolph asked.

''No, doing it pretty tough.''

However, Rudolph said Rawiller's weight-related record was ''exemplary'' for ''a heavyweight rider''. Rawiller was fined the minimum, $100, and reminded to call officials as soon as possible when overweight as betting takes place on exotic options such as the jockey challenge.

Damien Oliver forgot a girth strap when weighing out for a ride at 56kg. Given a 1kg allowance for the safety vest, Oliver still had 400 grams to make up until a girth was included.
