Multiple Group-winning mare Arabian Gold caught the eye with a strong trial win at Royal Randwick this morning (Tuesday), reports Racing Network.
The winner of nine races from just 20 starts and more than $900,000 in prizemoney, Arabian Gold looks set to take the next step as she moves towards the autumn carnival for Warwick Farm trainer David Vandyke.
She hasn’t raced since having little luck when second last in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap behind Trust In A Gustin the spring.
Her previous run was a fabulous win over Catkins in the $300,000 Gold Pendant at Rosehill.
In this morning’s trial Arabian Gold settled midfield before moving to the outside of the track where she proved too strong on the line for Gai Waterhouse’s on-pace galloper Ryker.
