Golden Slipper winner Overreach turned  her questionable trial form around with a sharp trial win at Randwick this morning. Overreach appeared to struggle in a trial at Randwick on August 19 when running second, but this morning she jumped and ran, reports Racing Network.

It was only a field of three, but Overreach sizzled over the last 600 metres of the 1050-metre trial in 34.57 seconds, beating the Darley-owned Barbed (one start, one easy win) by a length and three-quarters.

After winning the Golden Slipper in the autumn, Overreach ran a brave third in the Sires Produce behind Guelph and hasn’t been seen at the races since. Trainer Gai Waterhouse would appear to have her back on track.
