Crowd favourite Hot Danish warmed up for another assault on Melbourne with a gallop at Flemington on Tuesday and Danny Nikolic was back on board, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

It says: Hot Danish made light of 61kg when returning to win at Rosehill three weeks ago, with trainer Les Bridge opting for Saturday's Blazer Stakes, 1400m, at Flemington for her next run.

"Nikolic thought she worked just as good as she did before winning the Salinger at Flemington back in the spring," Bridge said yesterday. "That's a rap. She needs a dry track and she'll run good."

Hot Danish crashed through the $1 million prizemoney barrier when winning the Research Stakes last start. Her thumping victory was the strapping mare's 11th from 18 outings.

"She was fit when she went down last Thursday," Bridge said. "She likes Melbourne. She did well within herself when she was down the last year."
