CRAIG Morrissey doesn’t know exact dates, but he expects Kathy O’Hara to be back riding sooner than later. While Morrissey, who manages O’Hara, would like his client to take an extra week off, he knows that is unlikely, reports Racing Network.

Morrissey said O’Hara, who fell from Natch Catch and then had another horse go over the top of her at Randwick last Friday, had a referral to see a neurosurgeon on Friday.

O’Hara was released from hospital on Saturday after Tweeting a picture which depicted a nasty cut to the back of her head.

Morrissey said after speaking with Racing NSW stewards, O’Hara also needs to undertake a concussion test, which all jockeys that have a fall must do.

“Once she ticks all those boxes she can resume riding,” Morrissey said.

“As to when she will, I don’t know. I’m saying to her ‘have another week off’, but she will be back sooner rather than later.

“She sounds in pretty good spirits, she hasn’t even been on painkiller – just Panadol. She is one tough girl.

“Every time something happens, she bounces straight back up. It is fantastic news considering what happened.”
