Corey Brown has been given the nod to ride flying SA-trained filly Miracles Of Life at Flemington on Saturday. After having a two-day look at the options available to him, trainer Daniel Clarken went for the internationally successful Brown.

Miracles Of Life, last year’s Blue Diamond Stakes winner, has been installed the $5 equal favourite along with the David Hayes-trained Pago Rock in the Listed $120,000 ATA/Bob Hoysted Handicap on Saturday.

Clarken waited until the last minute before giving Brown the nod ahead of several jockeys who had put their hand up for the ride. Regular rider Lauren Stojakovic is on the comeback trail from injury, and while she has a clearance to ride in trials, she does not yet have a clearance to ride in races. She won a trial on Miracles Of Life at Morphettville in Adelaide on Monday.
