Australian champion So You Think has been confirmed to take on Europe's best in next month's Group One Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.

Trainer Aidan O'Brien recently ruled out a return trip to Australia for a shot at equalling Kingston Town's record haul of three Cox Plates.

The Arc was always among the options for So You Think but O'Brien finally confirmed it via the Coolmore Stud website on Thursday.

"So You Think is in great form and all being well with him, the plan is to run in the Arc given reasonable ground conditions," O'Brien said.

Considered to be Europe's premier middle-distance contest, the Group One Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (2400m) is at Longchamp on October 2.

So You Think has had five starts for O'Brien for four wins, most recently in the Irish Champion Stakes on September 3.

Prepared by Bart Cummings in Australia, So You Think was sold to Coolmore Stud last spring.

Australian wagering agency TAB Sportsbet has So You Think sharing Arc favouritism at $4.50 with Sarafina.
