Trainer Desleigh Forster isn't backing down from her claim that Adebisi is Queensland's best three-year-old and expects the colt to prove her right in the Group Three Vo Rogue Plate at Doomben on Sunday.

Forster declared Adebisi the best of his age in the state following his brilliant win in the Listed Gold Edition Plate (1200m) at Doomben last Saturday.

In a change of tactics, Adebisi was ridden off the pace before hitting the line strongly to down Bianca Jewel.

"He and Buffering are the two best in Queensland and their form proves it," Forster said.

"There isn't much between the two of them but we've been wanting to ride my bloke like we did last week for some time.

"He's had terrible luck with bad alleys in the past.

"He's been going good and he never deserved all the criticism he's been copping."

Forster was relieved when Scott Seamer declared he was fit to ride Adebisi.

Seamer has a sore shoulder after being dislodged from Ephraim Warrior at the barriers at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.

"I spoke to Scott on Thursday and he's fine," Forster said.

Forster backed her opinion of Adebisi by considering sending him to New Zealand for next month's Group One Telegraph Handicap (1200m) at Trentham.

"We were going to send him over but the nominations have closed for the race and we have to pay a $30,000 late nomination to get him in," she said.

"I'd say he won't be going and will be in the paddock after this race.

"There's no races around for him in Queensland after this race and he won't be going to Sydney.

"He's got a higher rating now after last week's win so he's going to get big weights from now on."

Forster has named Steel Dragon and Bianca Jewel as Adebisi's main dangers on the rain-affected track.

"If it's heavy I've got no doubt he'll handle it. His sister, The Gingermeister, handles a heavy track," she said.

"It's going to be a good race but I've kept him fresh by taking him to the beach twice this week.

"I liked Steel Dragon's run in the Gold Edition and he's won on a slow track but one of the best runs from last week's race came from Bianca Jewel."

Trainer Gillian Heinrich is expecting further improvement from Steel Dragon following his close fifth to Adebisi in the Gold Edition Plate.

"It was a great run and he's a such a tough horse," she said.

"He's looking for further and he should run a big race."
