Trainer Pat Duff has his sights aimed at another Prime Minister's Cup at the Gold Coast following Cocktail Supreme's return to form in the Listed Bribie Handicap at Eagle Farm.

Cocktail Supreme, ridden by former Kiwi jockey Damien Browne, relished the wet conditions to score by three-quarters of a length over Rasmussen in the 1200-metre feature.

Duff won the Listed Prime Minister's Cup (1300m) in 2006 with Hard To Catch and has no doubt Cocktail Supreme can measure up again to winter carnival class after the gelding's win in the Listed Ascot Handicap (1300m) at Eagle Farm last July.

Saturday's victory ended a string of Listed placings for Cocktail Supreme who was runner-up in the Weetwood and Glasshouse Handicaps at Toowoomba and Caloundra respectively and the Eye Liner Stakes at Ipswich.

"He ran second last year to Swiss Ace in the Weetwood so he's no slouch," Duff said.

"He's been very unlucky with bad alleys most of his career and the one alley made the difference today.

"I might back him up over 1200 metres next week but he'll be aimed for the Prime Minister's Cup next month."

Meanwhile, former Townsville trainer Steve O'Dea maintained his perfect record in black-type races when Go Cart scored a commanding 1-1/4-length win in the Listed Winning Edge Presentations Japan Trophy (2106m).

O'Dea brought a small team with him from north Queensland during the summer but recently decided to settle permanently in Brisbane after leasing boxes at Eagle Farm.

He won his first Listed race when Go Cart won the Member's Cup (1600m) at Eagle Farm last month before the six-year-old made it two with a 1-3/4 lengths win over Winmara on Saturday.

Jockey Ryan Wiggins followed O'Dea's instructions perfectly and never left the fence when the field fanned on the home turn in the slushy conditions.

"The rail was out five metres last run so we thought it was best to stick to the new pad," O'Dea said.

"That was a good win under 58 kilos and it was his first go at the distance.

"I'll freshen him up now and get him ready for some of the winter races."

Go Cart continued Day's outstanding strike rate since his move south.

"That's my sixth win since I've been in Brisbane from about 15 starters," he said.

Unbeaten Toowoomba filly Chakvetadze also kept her perfect record intact with her fifth win in the Ryan's Winning Edge Trophy Handicap (1200m).

Trainer Michael Nolan remains reluctant to speculate about the three-year-old's winter goals until after the Listed Silk Stocking (1200m) at the Gold Coast next month.
