The $1 million Blue Diamond Stakes will be the next step up the ladder for Pane In The Glass, an easy winner of Saturday's $250,000 Inglis Classic at Rosehill.

The Nathan Tinkler-owned filly remained unbeaten from three starts after she coasted to a 5-3/4 length victory over Collestrada, covering the 1200 metres in 1:10.67.

Pane In The Glass was the $1.60 favourite for the race when TAB Sportsbet opened markets on Wednesday and started at $1.26.

Queensland jockey Jim Byrne has ridden Pane In The Glass in all her races starting with a 1000m handicap at Eagle Farm followed by the Inglis Nursery (1000m) in December.

But because most of her $370,000-plus prizemoney comes from Inglis restricted races, she has just $32,000 from her Brisbane win counting towards the Blue Diamond at Caulfield on February 26.

"The plan is to run her in the Blue Diamond," stable representative Robyn Hartney said.

"She had 35 days between her first and second runs and 35 days leading into today and the Blue Diamond is 35 days away so it seems to suit her."

Byrne said he was thrilled to be associated with a horse as good as Pane In The Glass and hoped she could go all the way through the big two-year-old events.

"I've never had a real class ride in these races before and I've never had a ride in the Blue Diamond," Byrne said.

"I've definitely booked the plane fare to Melbourne and hopefully it will be first class coming home.

"She's a real nice filly and doing everything so easily at the moment that you think she's starting to stamp herself as one of the better two-year-olds.

"She just cruised up softly today and when I got serious she really accelerated."

Pane In The Glass was a $32,000 purchase at last year's Classic sale with the alumni from that sale headed by Choisir who was placed in all three of the 2002 Sydney two-year-old triple crown races and later went on to become an internationally renowned sprinter.

After he won two races at Royal Ascot, Choisir was bought by Coolmore for a reported $30 million and he has become a successful shuttle sire.
