Extensive remedial work will be undertaken on the Yarra Valley track forcing the transfer of race meetings including the Yarra Valley Cup. The YV track was closed for racing and training when a section of the racing surface collapsed during a meeting on Dec 30. The Yarra Valley Cup, set down for Sunday, March 20, will now be run at Cranbourne, as will YV's next meeting on January 23. The Feb 20 meeting has been transferred to Bairnsdale and the meeting scheduled for Anzac Day (Apr 25) has been abandoned.
