John O’Shea is proud of his achievements with top mare Sea Siren and he’s hoping there is one more left to come. Excited by the news on the weekend connections had accepted an invitation to run at Royal Ascot next month, O’Shea has already swung into action. “There is so much to do and organise, but it’s exciting and I’m really looking forward to it,” O’Shea told Racing Network this morning. “I’m quite proud of what we have been able to achieve with this mare – she’s won three-Group 1’s and run second in two others, so she has a solid record,” he said. Sea Siren ran a brave second to Epaulette in Saturday’s Group 1 $650,000 Doomben 10,000 and her one-race aim at Royal Ascot will be the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) on the last day of the five-day meeting. “She will then stay in the UK and be mated by Galileo, that’s the plan I believe,” O’Shea added.
