How much will Pierro sell for? Latest reports say the 2YO triple crown winner and current Doncaster favorite is likely to be sold to stud for at least $35 million. Owners Greg and Donna Kolivos want to continue racing the Lonhro colt but the decision has become a commercial one that will see them become instantly rich (or richer than they already are!). Major groups Newgate Farm, Widden Stud, Coolmore and Arrowfield Stud are all in the market for the colt and who gets to land the prize could be decided as early as Saturday. The price tag is regarded by many as a vote of confidence in the future of racing.
